Welcome to the blog for Daniel Phillips. Daniel is the son of Derek Phillips and has a younger brother called Andrew Phillips. Both have not been allowed to see their father since Oct 2010
Daniel is at Ashton Keynes Primary School (AKPS) in Wiltshire. In fact, they are not allowed to speak to their dad or even receive postcards, letters or presents.
Daniel, I hope you find this site, or someone shows you it, as it is meant to show you that your father wants to see you very much and have you here in Hook to visit. Your website will be updated regularly to show we are thinking of you. I will post your birthday and christmas cards here as it seems the post doesn’t work very well in Cirencester! I will always be here for you for whenever you need me and are able to contact me.
Time since Daniel was last allowed to see his family

Daniel, the whole family is here watching for you and trying to talk to you. We are sending postcards, letters, birthday cards and presents but they are being destroyed by your mother and Jos.
We have never abandoned you but have been forced away by threats, lies and evil behaviour. We are not far away and will keep an eye on you and Andrew.
If anything happens or you want to speak to someone call Childline on 0800 1111.
If you know Daniel please tell him that his dad wants him to come and stay in Hook, play on the Xbox and go body boarding in the sea. Daniel has a bedroom here, with all his toys and clothes and he’s asked to come and stay.

Good luck Daniel with the AKPS Play on Tues & Weds. Dad is hoping to come to the play on Weds but some people are working to stop that happening so all I can do is say I hope you have fun and enjoy the evenings.
UPDATE: as we thought you won’t be allowed to go to the show if I go to see it
What a shame – but some people can’t help mental illness (BPD) so we can’t blame them only offer them help!

Happy Easter Daniel – I’ve sent a letter with an Easter Egg on it! It’s the only way I can get one to you for now.
It would be great if you could come to Hook and do an Easter egg hunt, we all know you have asked to come and stay with Daddy and you can come any time you want.

I went to see your teacher at AKPS, Miss Bailey, yesterday, and also the headteacher Mrs Nicholas. They had a lot to tell me about how you are doing and that you have caught up after the change of schools.
You haven’t been behind at all it’s just the change of teaching system needed a bit of extra support in the change.
I saw all your work and lots of photos with you in. Your teachers are very impressed with you so keep up the good work.
They said you like playing spies with your friends so I’ll send you a spy magazine and maybe it will be given to you.
Had a chat with some of your friends parents as well and found out lots about you.

Just found this story we wrote in August 2010 when you stayed for a few weeks in the summer holidays from AKPS. We had fun writing this and heading down to the fields and estuary to check for locations.
Daniel, Andrew and Daddy took the dogs to the field to see the cows.
We all walked around the field looking out for cow pats.
The dogs ran around looking for rabbits. The rabbits all ran away very fast.
There should be ten cows on the field. We counted them all and there were only nine. There was one missing!
Daddy looked at the top of the field. Andrew looked at the bottom of the field. Daniel looked at the middle of the field. The dogs just ran around looking for rabbits.
We could not find the missing cow. Where had she gone? No one could find her.
Daniel found a gap in the hedge and some big cow prints leading through it. She must have got out through the gap.
We all went through the gap into the lane and walked along looking for the lost cow. The dogs ran around looking for rabbits.
A squirrel ran across the lane and Buster ran after it barking. The squirrel ran up a tree and the dogs all barked at it. The cow was still not here.
We all walked down the lane until we came to the estuary with all the boats tied up. Big cow prints went through the mud heading toward the next village.
We all followed the cow trail past the boats, through the trees, over the wooden bridge and past the little cottage at the side of the magic stream. The dogs ran around looking for squirrels and rabbits.
Finally we reached the village and followed the trail up the lane.
In the middle of the village the cow had disappeared. Daddy said to ask in the pub if anyone had seen her. We all walked in the pub and there was the cow drinking a pint of milk at the bar.
We chased the cow out of the pub. Daniel got a saddle and bridle from the landlord and put them on the cow. Then he jumped on the cow and rode it all the way back to the field.
We all came back home and had tea.

Daniel, I hope you are having a nice half term break from Ashton Keynes Primary School (AKPS). It’s not the best weather, there may have been some snow around you earlier, but we haven’t had any here. Dad is going to Bristol on Weds which isn’t too far from you so will be thinking about you. All the family here are thinking of you and want to see you. We will keep trying to get some sense and we won’t give up getting what’s best for you.

These are some very brief birthday wishes from Dad and the rest of the family in Wales. We have been trying very hard to wish you a happy birthday and send you cards and presents, but we have not been allowed. We are sorry that we can’t do more, but we are here for you and always will be. Once you see this website you will understand that we have not ignored you out of choice but have fought for you to be allowed to be a part of your family here as you have been asking for.

Here is the birthday card sent to you by your Aunty Karen and family. They all missed seeing you at the beach in Pembrokeshire this year.
It’s almost unbelievable that anyone would stop children from even receiving birthday cards from their family! It’s hard to contemplate that such evil exists and is allowed to go on.

Hello Daniel – we have all been trying to get something to you for your birthday but we are not allowed
Here is a copy of your birthday card that I have sent today and I hope it gets to you and is not destroyed like the others!

I sent you the postcard below to ask what you want for your birthday. Hopefully it has been given to you. I hope you are allowed to at least receive a card from your dad, and it would be good if you were allowed to speak to dad by phone! I know your aunt Karen has tried to email and your grandma has written letters as well.
